My apologies for the typo on the last email. That’s what I get for editing posts from mobile after a long day of riding imaginary trains. Perhaps later I’ll share a post on Sir Topham Hat’s management style, but for now, here’s the link (below paywall) for the Small-Group Workshop today on Armswing Mechanics with Nick Del Bianco and Misch Harrs of Athlete Wellness Academy. Some of the specifics we’ll get into today are:
What are the biomechanics of a powerful, efficient armswing?
What are some bad biomechanics that we need to be on the look out for?
From a technical standpoint, what are effective cueing practices? How much can we really change the armswing on-court?
From a functional standpoint, what can we do in the weight room to address poor biomechanics and improve capacity for better armswings?
More generally, how can we integrate “weight room” (or any other off-court physical training) work with what we’re doing on the court? How am I integrating this information into my training sessions and team practices?
Do the answers to these questions change depending on whether the athletes are girls or boys? Young teenagers or collegiate/professional athletes?
If you liked some of these previous sessions, you’ll like this one!
Bring some questions to ask and I’ll have Nick or Mischa address them directly. I’ve already gotten a lot of great questions from readers who can’t make the session live, so even if you can’t log on while we’re doing the workshop, just respond to this email with a question and I’ll make sure it gets answered.
