Week 1 of the Athletes Unlimited Season 2 will come to a close tonight (if you read this on the day I publish this) and it’s been a fun start to the season. I’m aiming to publish content twice a week throughout the season- once as sort of a weekly preview as well as a Match Analysis thread once per week where I pick an interesting match and dive into it a bit more. If you didn’t see my first “AU Mondays” post, you might want to check that out, especially if you’re a little unfamiliar with the format of this league:
Also, exciting news! On March 31, I’ll be doing a coaches workshop for premium subscribers. The topic will be setting and I’ve roped the great Alisha (Glass) Childress (who is playing in the AU league) into joining me for the discussion and Q&A. Two Olympic medalists who both think really deeply about the setting position and are great resources. Get your setting questions ready!
And even better, in the spirit of the AU Causes program, I’ll donate all subscriber revenue from now through March 31 to Give Directly.
So, let’s turn our attention to the very first match of the 2022 Athletes Unlimited season, where Team Lowe (Blue) took on Team Cruz (Orange). We’ll break down the match, and also show you how to pull the Triangle analysis from the standard DataVolley or Volleystation match report.
Like most of my Match Analysis content, I’m putting this one behind the paywall. If you’re thinking about subscribing for the Setting Q&A, you might as well subscribe now!
