Odd Week Mailbag

I dedicate the first three weeks of each month to indoor volleyball and the fourth week to beach volleyball. Since there’s 5 Mondays this January, I’ll use this week for some random odds and ends that don’t quite fit into full articles. Today is all about reader questions and comments that have come through since the last odd week.

These sorts of questions are one of the two main reasons I started this blog.

1. I started writing a book on my way of using analytics, and realized it was better serialized into chapters.

2. I talk volleyball with a lot of really interesting people, from Olympic coaches to U-11s¹ and a lot of times I think copying and pasting my email responses would be an easy way to generate content people could learn from these discussions.

So here we are.
