My How To Hit Harder seminar is available for coaches/organizations who want to book me for Summer 2024.
If you’ve been interested in some of the attacking content I’ve put out, you might be interested in this seminar:

In the Organization - Mechanics - Skill framework, this seminar is about:
50% Mechanics
50% Skill
This seminar is about developing general spiking explosiveness and power. The hallmark of it is the self-toss attack or mini-jump-serve. If you can do this with power, it will transfer well to any positional attacking.
We’ll attack off the set too, but this clinic isn’t about team-specific offense. This is more about developing the individual foundations that players can then put to use on whatever team they play for, in whatever position they need to play. Except libero. This clinic probably won’t help them play libero.
Formats
The easiest format for this is just a straight player camp. Fill up your gym with kids and I’ll coach them up on these teaching points and demo the various exercises. The facilities, number and level of player will determine how much I get into non-volleyball exercises aka “weight room” stuff. I can do the whole camp without doing any supplemental exercise stuff, but some people are curious about it.
The specific timing of the sessions depends on the number of kids you want. For example, with just one “wave” of kids, we can go 9:00 - 12:00 and 2:00 - 5:00. You can’t do much more than that because the kids are going to hit so many balls that fatigue becomes an issue. An ideal format is actually 2 waves of kids where we go either
Option 1
Wave 1 → 8:30 - 12:30 (with a 30-minute break in the middle for rest)
Wave 2 → 1:30 - 5:30
Option 2
Wave 1 → 8:30 - 10:15
Wave 2 → 10:30 - 12:15
Wave 3 → 1:30 - 3:15
Wave 4 → 3:30 - 5:15
From a pure training perspective, I slightly favor Option 2 because it’s the same amount of court time but with a longer break for the kids by splitting the session up. But sometimes transportation logistics don’t quite work out.
This player camp session can work well for a 1-day or 2-day event.
Logistics and Other Formats
I can coach 1 court without any assistants. If we go multiple courts, I’ll ask you to provide a court coach for each court so I can demo and set things up and then bounce from court to court while your court coaches keep things running.
If you’re interested in the physical prep, we can do things like a 1-day event where I do coaches-only in the morning and then a player session in the afternoon/evening. Or a 1.5-day format where we do coaches-only on Friday night and players all day Saturday.
I can do a full 1-day coaches-only event, but you’ll need some coaches who are ready to hit or (ideally) 3 or 4 demo players (coaches kids, etc) so I can show this stuff implemented along a spectrum of skill and physicality.
1-day is the max for coaches-only, but I can do 2-day or 2.5-day with players.
This is also a seminar that works well if you want to do it as a summer evening camp for your players. If you’re interested in that, contact me and we’ll see if the travel logistics can work.
Cost
My rate is $1200/day + travel. See the Summer 2024 Seminars page for specific examples of how that pencils out.
